Water Color Project
Description:
This project was inspired by Henri Matisse, who used a lot of colors in all of his paintings. For this project, we learned different watercolor techniques and had to use at least three of them in our project. Scraffito, crayon resist, and graded wash. Using all the different colors we had to sketch a room with a vase of flowers on a table. Once that was sketched, you used a Sharpie to go over all the details, then add the watercolor.
Extension Activity:
Students chose a song or piece of instrumental music that matches the mood of their painting. Creating a music, art, and mood connection.
