Project 1 Footprint Introduction
Description:
This project is an introduction of your students. They can trace their foot, then create different objects or designs to describe them. Here is what all my items on my footprint mean: the shopping bag shows my love for shopping. Whenever I have free time, I enjoy going to the mall with my friends. The airplane resembles my love for traveling. As I've traveled to multiple states due to softball tournaments, I've also gotten the opportunity to travel outside of the US. I have been to Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, and the Dominican Republic. In the future, I'd love to travel somewhere in Europe and explore that part of the world. I put a whistle because in the summer I coach a softball team for SD Phoenix. The T8 is meant for Tate Mcrae because she is my favorite artist. The softball means I play softball here at Northern State. I came in as a pitcher, but due to health issues and injuries, I now am a designated hitter. I put an apple on there because my major is elementary education. The 4 hearts indicate that I am the oldest of 4 girls. With our initials in each heart, Tevan, Dessa, Autumn, and Hadley.
Extension Activity:
Students turn their symbolic footprints into a timeline of important life events, interests, and future goals. Using a large sheet of paper, they place their footprint in the center and draw a path or trail leading from past to present to future, adding labeled moments or symbols along the way.
